Atleta Ako is an independent retailer of running, swim, and triathlon equipment, with a particular focus on women’s performance wear.
How we started
A gap on the shelf — and a community willing to chase it down.
We launched in 2014 after noticing that Philippine sports retail was lopsided: men’s performance apparel filled the shelves, while the women’s side was mostly downsized cuts or whatever happened to land in stock.
We started with a single women-focused brand and showed up at local races to put the gear in front of the people who’d actually use it. The idea was simple: stock things that fit, perform, and don’t require importing direct.
Today we carry running shoes, apparel, swim gear, and training accessories from brands we’ve chosen ourselves. We’ve supported athletes at events like Cobra Ironman 70.3 and Tri United, and we host the Atleta Ako Races community.
